DOUGLAS L. MORLOCK, RA — Director, Educational Design
Mr. Morlock has 40 years of experience with Kideney Architects. He works closely with his clients to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved and that the final design meets the clients’ needs. He is adept at overseeing complex design and construction projects and coordinating documentation and construction administration with engineering and design consultants. During his tenure with Kideney, Mr. Morlock has managed multi-disciplined design teams for concurrent higher education projects. His current clients include Williamsville and Lackawanna School Districts, and multiple projects for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
PATRICK J. SMITH, AIA — Director, Healthcare Design
Mr. Smith has been employed at Kideney Architects for over 38 years. He is highly experienced and a valued member of the firm where he serves as both a project manager and architect. He lends both his time and talent to his design teams, mentoring other project team members to advance their knowledge of healthcare. Mr. Smith specializes in design for acute care, long-term, and adult care facilities. He has provided planning, design and construction administration services on projects for major healthcare networks and area hospitals, overseeing award-winning, multimillion-dollar construction and renovation programs for emergency, ambulatory, surgery and other departments. His extensive portfolio is complemented by equally challenging healthcare projects that have varied in both size and cost. Recent projects include expansions at Kenmore Mercy Hospital for the new Emergency Department, Surgery and Orthopaedic Units and a new Ambulatory Surgery Unit at Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph Campus.
SCOTT A. LOHOUSE, LEED AP — Director, Educational Design
Mr. LoHouse has more than 37 years of experience as an Architectural Manager and Project Captain. His responsibilities include overseeing complex design/construction projects and coordinating documentation and construction administration services with a diverse group of consultants. During his 27 years with Kideney Architects, he has applied his valuable talents to major renovation and new construction programs, including the award-winning University Commons residential complex at the State University of New York at Fredonia. A LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. LoHouse holds a BPS in Architecture from SUNY at Buffalo and an associate’s degree in Architectural Technology from Erie Community College.
LISA R. JOHNSON — Director of Marketing
Mrs. Johnson brings over 32 years of experience in the architectural industry, working with agencies such as the State University Construction Fund, NYS Dormitory Authority, Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority, along with a variety of college/universities, and public and private schools. Mrs. Johnson coordinates all marketing activities, including public relations, business development, market research, presentations, and proposals.
