Buffalo, NY – January 2023 – Kideney Architects, PC, is pleased to announce the promotions of Scott A. LoHouse, LEED AP to Director of Educational Design and Yadira D. DeSantis, AIA; Jeffrey T. Jordan, LEED AP, BD+C and Matthew M. Owczarczak, RA, LEED AP to Associates.
Scott A. LoHouse, LEED AP promoted to Director of Educational Design: Mr. LoHouse has more than 30 years of experience as an Architectural Manager and Project Captain. His responsibilities include overseeing complex design/construction projects and coordinating documentation and construction administration services with a diverse group of consultants. During his 20 years with Kideney Architects, he has applied his valuable talents to major renovation and new construction programs, including the award-winning University Commons residential complex at the State University of New York at Fredonia. A LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. LoHouse holds a BPS in Architecture from SUNY at Buffalo and an associate’s degree in Architectural Technology from Erie Community College.
Yadira D. DeSantis, AIA promoted to Associate: Ms. DeSantis is an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager. Known for exceeding client expectations with effective communication and problem-solving skills, she provides a range of services to her clients, inclusive of conceptual design planning, direct interaction with clients, consultant coordination, coordination with local approval agencies and client or facility representatives. Ms. DeSantis has worked on numerous project types of varying size and costs for a diverse group of clients. These projects have provided her with experience in the design and construction administration of interior renovation, reconstruction, and new building projects. Ms. DeSantis earned a BPS in Architecture from SUNY at Buffalo. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Buffalo/WNY Chapter, she currently serves as a scholarship committee member. In addition to her involvement on the local AIA board, she has also served as a committee member of the Buffalo Architecture Foundation’s Architecture + Education program since 2011.
Jeffrey T. Jordan, LEED AP, BD+C promoted to Associate: Mr. Jordan has been with Kideney Architects since 2008 and has worked as an intern architect and Architectural Designer. He has worked almost exclusively on healthcare assignments for the firm, including multiple projects for Erie County Medical Center, a nationally-recognized, regional, Level-I trauma center in Buffalo, New York. He earned his Master of Architecture (M. Arch) from SUNY at Buffalo. He also holds a BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he majored in Architectural Studies. A LEED BD + C Accredited Professional, Mr. Jordan is also involved within the community, where he has volunteered for both Habitat for Humanity and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Matthew M. Owczarczak, RA, LEED AP promoted to Associate: Mr. Owczarczak joined Kideney Architects in 2007. His experiences have involved new building designs and renovations for many healthcare, educational, and developer clients. Mr. Owczarczak takes a project from start to finish and is well-versed in each phase along the way. His experience in architecture combined with his background in construction and carpentry is complemented by his extensive knowledge of drafting and 3D modeling. This lends valuable resources to both his design teams and the firm. Mr. Owczarczak holds a BS in Architectural Technology from SUNY College of Technology, Alfred State, and is a licensed architect.
