RAYMOND J. BEDNARSKI, AIA LEED AP —
President & CEO

Mr. Bednarski, a firm Principal since 2009, has been with Kideney Architects for 34 years. In his leadership role, Mr. Bednarski oversees all design teams and projects.

Mr. Bednarski has completed projects for both public and private sector clients in the Education, Healthcare, Municipal and Commercial markets. In the K-12 Education market, he has served as principal-in-charge on major pre-referendum and capital projects for some of the region’s largest school districts, including several buildings of a historic nature, requiring special attention to preservation issues.

Mr. Bednarski serves as Chairman of the Erie Community College Architectural Technology Advisory Board, is a board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York, and is an active alumnus of the UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.


AGorski_248ANTHONY E. GORSKI, AIA, CSI — Principal

Mr. Gorski is one of the firm’s most seasoned Project Manager and Project Architects. With over 38 years of experience, 34 of which have been with Kideney, his primary focus has been educational, municipal and correctional facilities work.

His extensive knowledge of state codes, policies and procedures have resulted in multiple term contracts commissioned by the New York State Office of General Services, many of which ran concurrently and involved multiple assignments at one facility. He has overseen major renovation and new construction projects for both minimum and maximum-security correctional facilities.


TKupinski_014TIMOTHY E. KUPINSKI, AIA, NCARB — Principal

Mr. Kupinski is a principal at Kideney Architects with over 32 years of experience in architectural design, project management, programming, building and site design, and space planning. He places a strong emphasis on identifying and incorporating clients’ needs into the design process from inception through to project delivery.

His extensive portfolio crosses multiple market sectors ranging from healthcare and education to residential and commercial and encompasses projects of varying size, including those requiring comprehensive review, installation, and upgrades to MEP systems. Currently, he is Principal-in-Charge of multiple projects for Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and design of tenant space for UBMD within the new Conventus Medical Office Building.


ANTHONY M. SANTANGELO, AIA, LEED AP —

Principal

Mr. Santangelo has over 28 years of professional experience with Kideney Architects. He has applied his valuable talents on a variety of healthcare projects. Mr. Santangelo facilitates architectural quality control by understanding his clients’ project goals, listening to their needs and those of their user groups. He is committed to managing and coordinating the efforts of the design team to meet client expectations throughout all phases of the project life-cycle. His portfolio includes a special focus on numerous projects for the Erie County Medical Center. Most recently he completed a $45 million Center of Excellence for Kidney Care & Transplantation and a $25 million Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, as well as a major expansion and renovation program for the surgery and emergency departments, and renovations to the hospital’s operating rooms, acute care and nursing units.


JLenahan-133JOSEPH J. LENAHAN, AIA, LEED AP — Principal Emeritus

Mr. Lenahan has over 41 years of experience as a Project Architect and Project Manager. He is respected by his clients for his ability to translate their needs into creative design solutions that both achieve project objectives and maintain the integrity of their original vision.

His portfolio of work includes numerous projects for colleges and universities throughout New York State, municipal and commercial facilities, and many historic preservation assignments, including restoration of Shea’s Performing Arts Center, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
